Week recap

This was the first full week of work at my new job...I really enjoy the people that I work with.  The ladies are like one big family - it's wonderful!  So far, most everyone I have met is super nice and I am enjoying what I'm doing. We've been busy around the house this week, doing what - I'm not really sure but we seem to have been going, going, going. We are having a yard sale next week - wish us luck! Here are some snap shots of our week....

Pizza Night!`

Last night we had pizza night here at the house and had a couple friends over.  We have been trying to cut down on our spending, while at the same time not give up hanging out with our friends.  So we made pizzas here at home instead of buying them (Betty Crocker, I know!).  I found the recipe on someone else's blog (I'm bad at remembering if I don't right it down, I think it was Money Saving Mom) and then tweaked it a little for my own tastes.  It's not quite right yet for me, but everyone thought it was a good start!Pizza dough1 TBSP active dry yeast1 cup warm water1 tsp. garlic salt2 tsp. sugar2 tsp. veggie oil2 1/2 cups flourDissolve yeast in warm water - add other ingredients.  Mix. Then knead on floured surface for about 5 minutes.  Then spread out on greased pizza pan.  Put in/on pizza toppings and bake for 12-16 minutes on 450 degrees. On two of the pizzas last night we put some mozzeralla cheese along the edge then folded the crust over to make a "stuffed crust" - I love Pizza Hut's Stuffed Crust pizza!  It turned out well, but not cheezey enough for me...so I will try more next time.  I had a smaller pizza pan, so my crust ended up being more of a thick crust.  But I just got asked for my recipe so I must have done something right!  There again, next time...I might put more garlic salt in...b/c we love garlic.  I'll let you know!

Perennials to divide

Below is the list of perennials that I have/know of at mom and dad's house that I will be trying to divide in a couple of weeks. If you want in on some of the action, just let me know! Also if you've got anything that you have to divide/give away, please let me know!

Big Weekend!

We've had a big weekend....we went to Owenton for the 127 Yard Sale (the longest yard sale in the US!) and we had a blast. I got some more Christmas presents and clothes for Rose for next year, but mainly it's just nice to spend some time with Bodie's family. We used to get up there a lot more but with job changes and stresses over the past year (not to mention our growing family) it has made it harder to get up there. So it has been wonderful the past two weekends with Lana and Fellar coming down and then us getting so spend some time with everyone up there.

Maureen came up on Sat. and she and I got to go around for a little while...shopping for the soon-to-be little boy....and congrats to Joey and Randi for their annoucement! We will hopefully be preggers in the near future, but things are just not right for us yet.....Patience is a virtue or so I'm told....until then, we just a new puppy - I think that will suffice for a little while!

Below are some pictures from our weekend, I got to get to grocery listin!

I'm always behind....

It's Sat. afternoon and I've got just a minute before Maureen gets here to completely reorganize my house - not my Forte! - so I thought I would catch-up for a minute.

Friday morning I got my office cleared out, pretty much. I'm starting a new job on Monday and even though I'm not completely finished at FB they are hiring new people left and right so I thought they might need my space. Then I met Maureen at the LOCS sale and got the rest of my Christmas shopping done for all of the kids that we buy for, Rose included! I just find that Rose has soooo many toys already, most of which she doesn't play with and I see piles of toys around other houses. With us going on our debt diet (I'll tell you more later), I can't bring my self to pay an arm and a leg for something that the kids will play with twice. Whatever. Daycare then called and Rosie had diarriea again (there is a Roto-virus going around - great!) so I went and picked her up and we headed to BRU to buy some diapers with my coupons and get a gc.
