Christmas preparations.....

Yeah, so I've been shoot me! It's been a crazy couple of, holiday preparations, present buying, ultrasounds, you name it. Yes we are expecting a new bundle of joy in the new year, our early Christmas present. I am about 9-10 weeks along (almost thru the 1st trimester thank goodness!) and we got a picture of the peanut at the doc's visit. Rose has had a Christmas party at school and we have been busy getting ready for the holidays. That is about all/everything that has been going on in our lives (I'm sure there is more, but I claim insanity with pregnancy!).

Happy Holidays to everyone!

The Holiday Carnage...

This weekend instead of shopping my sister and mother kindly converged upon our house to help paint, organize and clean. Well, we some of that accomplished...The following are pictures of Friday's carnage.....

And today's carnage....

Along with some pictures from Thanksgiving Day and a current family picture....

Prayers Please

Our good friend Maureen just went in for an emergency C-section. She's about 35 1/2 weeks along, is diabetic and has developed pre-clampsia. So if you can please keep her in prayers...I will let you know tonight when I know more.

Maureen delivered an 8lb 12 oz. boy yesterday by c-section. Mommy and son (and daddy) are all at Central Baptist. Mommy is doing good, Hayden is in the NICU trying to let his lungs develop a little more and learning how to regulate his own sugar. He's a strong, strapping premie and is doing good, but can always use the prayers!

The Wiggles!

As many of you know our house is a HUGE Wiggle fan! So tonight we took Rose to see their concert in Lexington....her face and enjoyment was priceless! Here are some pictures from the evening...

Well, Rose has been sick since Tuesday, I started feeling bad yesterday and Mom and Dad started feeling bad today! Fun! Fun! So Bodie is on his way to Owenton because it is opening weekend of modern gun deer season (a national holiday in our house in case you were wondering!) and Miss Rose and I are staying here at home. I probably would have relaxed a lot more at MawMaw's but I hate to go up there and possibly get everyone else sick - especially if I don't know if I'm contagious. So we'll keep it close here and just take it easy (yeah right!) I have a feeling there will be lots of Wiggles watched! BTW, we ended up getting tickets to go see them next week - I think I'm more excited than Rose!

So we had a shower for our friends Maureen and Kevin last Sunday and had a blast. I think the best was watching the men try to suck chocolate milk out of a bottle for the Bottoms Up game....

We tried to take some family pics at the park this week, but the battery died on the not very many pics of us, but I did get some of Rose and some nature scenes (which is one of my favorite things to shoot anyways!).

48 graveyard cupcakes, 25 mummy dogs and one wonderful husband cooking!

This past week was EKU's homecoming and we had a blast. Friday night Rose stayed at Nana and Grandda's while Bodie and I got to have an adult/date night. We had a wonderful time catching up with Fridays and visiting - we are so blessed to have such wonderful friends all around us!

We also got to see Auntie K this weekend which was great, even if it was only for a little while...We miss her down in Atlanta so we love any chance that we get to spend time with her!

Then Bodie and I spent time cooking last night (about 3+ hours) to make some goodies for today! I am so lucky to have an amazing husband who works with me - even though I'm sure he'd like to strangle me 3/4's of the time!

Today was Rose's Halloween party at school - Bodie and I both went. I love being able to spend time with two that I love so much!

Then tonight we went Trick-Or-Treating after carving our pumpkins. Nana came out for all the fun....
