The Blahs....

So I haven't updated in awhile - I know, I know. We seem like we run ragged around here...whenever we aren't at work, we are running around town, cleaning the house, working on the yard or doing anything and everything else. We never seem to get caught up. I've been busy taking care of Rose who was sick and Bodie who has been down in his back. Mom has also been down in her back and is meeting with a surgeon this weekend. Bodie and I are both putting in as many hours as we can to save up/pay off things before the baby comes. Speaking of baby - they say it is a boy and William Kirtlee is the name that we've decided on. William after both of our paternal grandfathers and Kirtlee after Lana's dad, spelled with "lee" after Bodie and his dad. We try to cover as many bases as possible. I haven't taken any pictures lately - yeah I know slacking again. I will try to get some this weekend and start getting back on the ball.

Riding out the storm....

Well we have made it through the first big ice storm of 2009 and the Snell Refugee camp has finally cleared out. Bodie and I decided that if there ever was a good year for us to have bought our own home, we were sure glad it was this year. I think we got roughly about an inch to inch and half of ice this past week with some snow over top. Bodie worked almost round the clock Monday through Wednesday at EKU trying to help keep the campus accessible and ready for the crowds for the All-A Classic. I was off work Tues-Thurs b/c there was no electricity at our office. Tues our electric was out here out our house and at mom and dad's so we headed to Grandma's. It was a good idea until her's went out too...so we all packed it back up and went to mom and dad's thinking that would be the best location. Luckily, our electric here at the house came back on that night and we moved the camp to our humble abode. Mom, Dad, Grandma and Aunt Molly were all in and out and we were certainly glad to have them! But now, the sun has been out, things are starting to melt and everyone has electric (at least of our small group, however there are still thousands in KY and even central KY without it) so our house is back to just the 3 of us. We are crossing our fingers that we will get missed by this supposed big storm moving in Monday but I guess we will have to wait and see.....

Happy Birthday Rose!

We have spent the past week getting ready to have our house turned upside down for Miss Priss' 2nd birthday party! We had about 30 people there and loved every minute of it! She had tons of friends and family who were there and our house has never looked better! Rose had soooo much fun, got too much stuff (although we are so very thankful to everyone!), and we had a blast getting to catch up with all of our friends too...Below are some pictures and I will try to post a video - but we will see how that goes!

Sorry I haven't posted lately, early to rise and early to bed so I'm lucky if I check my email! I've entered into month 3-4 and sickness is kicking in full force...next doc's appointment is in a week and we will find out sex 1st of March...

Also some pictures from Christmas...yeah, I'm running behind. Welcome to my world.

Christmas preparations.....

Yeah, so I've been slacking....so shoot me! It's been a crazy couple of weeks...work, holiday preparations, present buying, ultrasounds, you name it. Yes we are expecting a new bundle of joy in the new year, our early Christmas present. I am about 9-10 weeks along (almost thru the 1st trimester thank goodness!) and we got a picture of the peanut at the doc's visit. Rose has had a Christmas party at school and we have been busy getting ready for the holidays. That is about all/everything that has been going on in our lives (I'm sure there is more, but I claim insanity with pregnancy!).

Happy Holidays to everyone!

The Holiday Carnage...

This weekend instead of shopping my sister and mother kindly converged upon our house to help paint, organize and clean. Well, we some of that accomplished...The following are pictures of Friday's carnage.....

And today's carnage....

Prayers Please

Our good friend Maureen just went in for an emergency C-section. She's about 35 1/2 weeks along, is diabetic and has developed pre-clampsia. So if you can please keep her in prayers...I will let you know tonight when I know more.

***UPDATE***
Maureen delivered an 8lb 12 oz. boy yesterday by c-section. Mommy and son (and daddy) are all at Central Baptist. Mommy is doing good, Hayden is in the NICU trying to let his lungs develop a little more and learning how to regulate his own sugar. He's a strong, strapping premie and is doing good, but can always use the prayers!
